After an 8-1 loss against No. 2 San Jacinto-North, the Odessa College baseball team responded with a 5-3 win against Galveston College on Saturday.
The Wranglers (2-1) took advantage of five errors as Connor Queen threw 3 1/3 innings of shutout relief for the victory. The freshman from Boerne also supplied two hits and scored one run. Tresten Kennard also had two hits, which included a triple.
Cooper Misic was charged with the loss after he allowed four runs — two earned — in eight innings. Elvin Alamo supplied three hits and two RBIs for the Whitecaps (8-2).
