Jake Carlson Assistant Baseball Coach

Coach Carlson begins his first season as Assistant Coach with the Wrangler program. His primary responsibilities will be working with the Wrangler hitters, outfielders, as well as recruiting.

Coach Carlson comes to us from Coffeyville Junior College in Coffeyville, KS. In his two year stint as an Assistant there, Coffeyville advanced the Region 6 tournament for the first time in school history. His primary responsibilities at Coffeyville were working with hitters, outfielders, and recruiting. Prior to Coffeyville, Coach started his coaching career at Nicholls State University. His first year was as a volunteer assistant and was promoted to the hitting coach position in his second year at Nicholls State. As well as working with hitters, Coach worked with outfield and assisted with recruiting

Coach Carlson is originally from Manhattan, KS and prepped at Manhattan High School. Carlson was a two time all-state outfielder and was an honorable mention all-American during his Sr. year. During his Sr. year, Manhattan High won the 6A State Championship. After high school, Coach Carlson went to Butler Junior College in El Dorado, KS and Played under BD Parker, Trent Nesmith, Jeff McCannon, and current OC Head Coach Brian Blessie. In his Soph. season Coach was an all-Conference performer for Butler. After Butler, Coach played at Nicholls State University in Thibodeaux, LA, for BD Parker. Due to injuries Coach served as the Colonels Designated Hitter.
