Mike Jaworski
Assistant Baseball Coach

Mike Jaworski is beginning his first season as the assistant baseball coach for the Odessa Wranglers. He will be working with hitters, defense, and base running. He will also be assisting Coach Blessie with recruiting.
Jaworski came to Odessa from Northwestern State, in Natchitoches, LA, where he served as the corner infielders coach and assisted with hitters during the 2010 season. While at Northwestern State, Jaworski earned his masters degree in Sports Administration.
Prior to returning to his alma mater to coach, Jaworski took on the role of a teacher and assistant baseball coach at Abbeville High School in Abbeville, La in 2008-2009. While at Abbeville High, Jaworski served as the team’s hitting coach and base running coach. He also coached wide receivers on the football team and was the head soccer coach.
During his playing days at Northwestern State, Jaworski earned All-Southland Conference honors as a senior and was named an ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-American. He was named the 2008 Southland Conference Student Athlete of the Year and earned SLC All-Academic honors as well. He finished his career ranked fourth on the NSU all-time home run list with 26. The 15 homers he put up in his senior season ranks as the second most in a single season while his 138 total bases ranks fourth.
Coach Jaworski grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Clear Lake High School. He is the Son of Rick and Rosemary Jaworski who live in Canyon Lake, Texas. He has one sister, Erin Beckner, who is married to Jordan Beckner, and they reside in Dallas, Texas. |
