| Bio: LaTara Shockley became one of the biggest one day turn around stories in my coaching career. Oh, how she loved to play first base and hit right-handed. Oh, what a great leftfielder and left-handed slap hitter she has become. After finally growing comfortable in her new role, LT would flourish! She would end the season hitting .340 from the left side and stealing 17 bases for the Wranglers. The last month of the season would see her take over the lead-off spot, allowing us to move Carrasco to the 2-hole, a very speedy combination that paid off big for the Wranglers. With maturity, understanding, and a new passion for her new role, the sky truly is the limit for LT. Though a great team player, she is worth the price of admission alone. |
