| SEASON OUTLOOK |
The Odessa College women’s basketball team enters the 2009-2010 season with a clear mission: To rebound from the late season slide of the 2009-2010 season and make progress toward returning to a championship level. The 2009-2010 campaign saw the Lady Wranglers win 18 of their first 19 games in route to a top fifteen national ranking. A very difficult 4 game losing streak during conference play and a Region V quarterfinal loss to Temple College have served as motivation to group of determined returners.
An influx of new talent will be led by this determined group of returners looking to leave their mark on the tradition rich women’s basketball program. The key to success this season will be how quickly the team blends its talents and finds the necessary chemistry to be successful. The Lady Wranglers will be tested early with a very challenging non-conference schedule that includes the first annual National Invitation Tournament hosted by Midland College in November and the return of the WJCAC Shootout in early December. |
