College
Career: Jerome
only spent one year at college before he turned pro.
That one year was spent at Odessa College. In
that one year, Jerome won the National Intercollegiate
Rodeo Association’s Bull Riding Championship.
After his freshman year, Jerome went pro, joining the
PRCA.
Pro
Career: Three
years into his career, Jerome made his statement; he
became the PRCA World Bull Riding Champion. For the
next five years, Davis would be in the top five of
the PRCA and PBR standings, four of those years becoming
a National Finals qualifier. In his career as a Bull
Rider, Jerome’s career earning exceeded a million
dollars. In 1998 tragedy struck, Davis was critically
injured after being thrown from a bull, breaking his
neck. This accident leaving Jerome paralyzed from the
chest down. Although this accident ended his career,
it did not end his life and Jerome is living proof
on how you should live your life and keep moving forward.
He is a true inspiration to everyone, and his positive
attitude is something special.

Facts: Jerome was casted as a stunt
double for Luke Perry in the movie “Eight Seconds”.
Jerome was awarded the “Ring of Honor” by
the PBR. During High School, Davis was named the
North Carolina State Rodeo Champion. Jerome also
hosts his own rodeo every year “The Jerome
Davis Invitational” at the Davis family Ranch
in Archdale, North Carolina.
