The Wrangler Baseball Team captured the 2021 WJCAC Tournament Title this past weekend in Clarendon, TX.
The double elimination tournament featured the third through sixth place teams in the conference, with the top two teams advancing to the NJCAA Region 5 Tournament.
Odessa, opened the tournament on Thursday morning with at 21-1 five inning run-rule drumming of Frank Phillips College to advance into the winners bracket.
The Wrangler bats continued their hot hitting on Friday as OC picked up their second victory of the weekend with a 15-6 victory over Clarendon College, punching their ticket to the championship game.
The championship game on Saturday featured Odessa once again taking on Clarendon. The Wranglers would again find the win collum with a 5-1 victory over the Bulldogs capturing the 2021 WJCAC Baseball Tournament Title.
With the victory, Odessa secured the three seed in the WJCAC standings and will advance to the NJCAA Region 5 Tournament. The Wranglers will now travel to Big Spring, TX this weekend to play in the Howard College Regional.
Odessa will open play on Thursday against Weatherford College. Game time and tournament info will be released later in the week.
