Peyton Fiene Drafted by Houston Astros

Congratulations to RHP Peyton Fiene on being slected in the 2026 MLB Draft.

Odessa College pitcher Peyton Fiene was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 11th round of the MLB Draft Sunday.

The right-handed pitcher from McKinney, TX was selected by the Astros with the 331st overall pick.

A sophomore this past season from McKinney, Fiene appeared in 15 games, starting in 14 of them and going 7-4 during the 2026 season for the Wranglers.

Fiene helped the Wranglers to a 38-17 record this season. He finished this season with a 4.71 ERA and was named the WJCAC Pitcher of the Year.

He is the second Odessa College pitcher drafted in the last two years after Daniel Lopez was taken by the Baltimore Orioles in the 12th round last year.
