Bio
Jay DeSoto is entering his first year as the Head Coach of the Wrangler Baseball Program at Odessa College.
He spent the last two years as an Assistant Coach. Jay brings passion, energy, and a deep understanding of the game.
Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Jay played his first two years of college baseball at the College of Southern Nevada before transferring to UTPB (Division II) in Odessa. He played four years at UTPB, taking advantage of both a medical redshirt and the extra year granted due to COVID.
After wrapping up his playing career, Jay jumped into coaching at Odessa College and is now excited to lead the program.
His goal is to help his players grow not just as athletes, but as young men, on and off the field!
