Men's Cross Country Finishes Second at Region 5 Championship
The Wrangler Men's Cross Country Team finished Second at the NJCAA Region 5 Championship this past Saturday in Hobbs, NM.
In the 8k race, Odessa scored 85 points to secure second place, NMJC won the event with 32 points and South Plains was third with 104 points.
The second place by the Wranglers was a place higher than they finished last year at the same event.
Individually, three runners placed in the Top 15.
Ethan Gioko finished thrid (23:42.10), Thomas Kubal was seventh (24:21.20), and Justus Kipligat placed fifteenth (25:02.50).
With the strong showing at the Region 5 Championships, the Wranglers will now start preparations for the 2025 NJCAA D1 Cross Country Championship in Fort Dodge, IA on November 8th.
