Wrangler Rodeo ENMU Recap
The Wrangler Rodeo team had a strong start to the 2025 season this past weekend at the ENMU College "Daze" Rodeo.
In the first rodeo of the newly formed NIRA Caprock Region, Odessa had six cowboys and one cowgirl qualify for the finals.
Bareback:
Toby Deudney finished fourth in the average with two qualified rides of 80 and 73.
Leighton LaFromboise finished eighth with two scores of 70 and 78.
Steer Wrestling:
Jake Deudney finished seventh.
Team Roping:
Heeler Mateo Martinez place forth overall with a 9.6 and 11.5 second runs.
Barrel Racing:
Molly Harper ran away from the field to win the event. She won both the long round 16.84 seconds and the short round 16.82 seconds, both runs were the only times under 17 seconds among the 80 barrel racers.
Bull Riding:
Hayden Welsh and Trinity Bear picked up right where they left off last year finishing first and second.
Hayden won the event and was the only bull rider to cover both bulls. He was 80 point in the long go and 88.5 in finals.
Trinity Bear had the highest score in the long round with an 83.

The Wranglers will make the long trip north to Canadian, TX to compete at the Frank Phillips College Rodeo September 25th through the 27th.
