Wrangler Rodeo Team: NMJC TBird Rodeo Recap
The Wrangler Rodeo team returned to NIRA Caprock Region competition this past weekend at the inaugural Thunderbird Rodeo hosted by New Mexico Junior College.
After nearly a month since their last college rodeo, the Wranglers returned to action and continued their strong fall rodeo season.
Odessa had 14 total cowboys and cowgirls qualify for the finals. Three of them, Patrick Fraser, Toby Deudney, and Jenna Lawrence qualified in multiple events.
BAREBACK: (Rough Stock)
Toby Deudney finished fourth with a 73 and a 72, Leighton LaFromboise finished sixth with at 77 and a 69, Peyton Robinson was eighth with a 61 and a 63, Carter Schulz was ninth with a 67 in the long round and Patrick Fraser finished tenth with a qualified ride in the long round.
SADDLE BRONC: (Rough Stock)
Jordan Cust placed fith with a 65 and a 78, Patrick Fraser was tenth with a 63 and a 60 and Tristan Halden finished eleventh with a 63.
GOAT TYING: (Timed Event)
Jenna Lawrence finished ninth with a time of 21.4 in two runs.
BARREL RACING: (Timed Event)
Molly Harper finished second with a 17.76 second run in the long round and had the fastest run of the weekend in the finals with a 17.23 second run. Jenna Lawrence was seventh with a 18.28 second run in the long round and an 18.16 run in the finals.
BULL RIDING: (Timed Event)
Octavious Christianson finished third with an 82.5 in the long round, Levi Ward was fourth with and 80 point ride, and Toby Deudney placed sixth with a 73 in the long round.

The Wranglers will travel to Lubbock, TX this weekend to compete at the Texas Tech Rodeo October 30th through November 1st.
