Wrangler Softball faces Santa Fe in First Game at NJCAA D1 World Series

Oxford, AL – The Wrangler Softball Team will open play in the 2026 NJCAA D1 Softball World Series on Monday, May 25th against Santa Fe College (FL) at 5:45pm.  

GAME NOTES: 

• Odessa College is the #6 seed 

• The Wranglers qualified for the World Series by winning the Southwest District A Championship.  

• Santa Fe College is the #11 seed. 

• The Saints are one of the four at-large selections to the 20-team field.   

• This will be the first ever meeting between Odessa and Santa Fe.  

TEXAS FLARE: 

• Six teams in this year's 20-team World Series field are from Texas. 

• #6 Odessa, #4 Temple, #7 Paris, #8 Trinity Valley, #10 McLennan, and #17 San Jacinto. 

VS. THE FIELD: 

• Odessa faced five of the teams in this year's World Series during the regular season going five and three against Temple, McLennan, Trinity Valley, San Jacinto, and Arizona Western.  

OC AT THE WORLD SERIES: 

• The Wranglers are making their sixth consecutive trip to the NJCAA D1 Softball World Series. 

• This is the 12th trip in program history.  

• This will be the third time OC has played at Choccolocco Park.
