Women's Golf Captures 2025 NJCAA D1 Women's Golf National Championship
Odessa College Women's Golf captured the 2025 NJCAA D1 Women's Golf National Championship on Thursday afternoon. The four-round tournament was played a Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, KS from Monday, May 12th through Thursday, May 15th.
The Wranglers shot a total score of 1182 [+30] over four rounds to win the tournament by 18 strokes. Two Florida schools rounded out the top three as Seminole State finished second at [+48] and Daytona State placed third at [+57]. This was the first year a school from outside of Florida won the National Title since 2012.
The 2025 National Championship comes in only the third year that OC has competed in women's golf. The Wranglers placed fourth in their inaugural season in 2023 and finished third in 2024.
Individually, Odessa placed four golfers in the top 18. Napajira "Nami" Luesattha was the Individual National Champion shooting 279 [-9]. Nami was the only player under par through the entire tournament. The 279 is now the lowest total score in NJCAA D1 Women's Golf National Championship individually.
Chloe De Verner placed second shooting 296 [+8], Ausanee "View" Udkanmtiang shot 306 [+18] finishing 16th and Nadia Sanz Ouezzani placed 18th with a score of [+18].
Buffalo Dunes Golf Course has been a bit of a good luck charm for the Wranglers. This is the second golf National Championship Odessa has won in Garden City, KS. The first coming in 2017 when the Men's Golf team won their latest National Championship.
Odessa will have a very strong chance to defend their title in 2026 as all six players will return for their sophomore season.
